Our History
Our story began in the early 1990s when spy satellite data were first utilized to advance environmental monitoring efforts. Co-founder, Robert Blevins worked closely with members of the U.S. Environmental Task Force, later known as Medea, where classified imagery was utilized for hazard, environmental, and climate monitoring. Through this work, he recognized the vital importance of satellite-derived intelligence in analyzing weather impacts, particularly in remote and data-deficient regions.
Adiabat, formerly METCON (est. 2011) was founded to provide high-value data-driven weather and climate insights to the U.S. Federal Government and Intelligence Community (IC). At Adiabat, we are thrilled to leverage our mission-oriented expertise in weather and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) to serve sectors both within and outside the federal government.
